BE PART OF THE MAGIC!

West  Australian Opera welcomes you to an enchanting year of music, song and drama and we invite you to take part in the magic and mayhem that only Opera can bring.  Opera is a unique artform that combines music, narrative, movement and design.  We have programs to suit people of all ages and we look forward to sharing our passion with you.

Our artists love connecting with audiences and we are willing and able to visit your school or community with one of our travelling programs or perhaps you would like to step onto the red carpet and join us in the grand His Majesty’s Theatre.  All of our main house performances are accompanied by West Australian Symphony Orchestra.

We are your state opera company and are here to be part of your learning journey.  Please contact Terasa Letizia, Education Coordinator on 0417 902 592 or education@waopera.asn.au to find out more and to discuss ways in which we can connect with you, your community and the curriculum.

We dare you to ACCESS ALL ARIAS.  You will be surprised at how flexible, fun, educational and affordable we are !

4Arts Performing Arts Education Festival

Due to unexpected circumstances, Western Australia’s Major Performing Arts Companies, Black Swan State Theatre Company, West Australian Ballet, West Australian Opera and West Australian Symphony Orchestra have unfortunately had to make the regrettable decision to postpone the 4Arts Performing Arts Education Festival until 2015.

The companies are committed to providing high quality arts experiences for WA students and are working together to ensure the festival returns in 2015, bigger, better and with more drama, pirouettes, arias and orchestrations than ever before.

News regarding 2015 will be released in the second half of the year.  In the interim please feel free to contact any of the Education Coordinators with any questions.
