La Traviata by Giuseppi Verdi is inspired by the stage play The Lady of the Camellias and set against a Parisian backdrop. It is a tragic tale of love and one of Verdi’s most popular operas.

Mozart’s Don Giovanni is based on the legendary character Don Juan. Combining comic elements of opera buffa and tragic opera the lightheartedness in the story and music is brief and swiftly followed by moral outrage and the thirst for revenge. Don Giovanni features on the Curriculum Council’s Music Designated Works List for 2013.

La Bohéme by Giacamo Puccini is one of the world’s most popular operas. It tells the story of four poor bohemians living in the Latin quarter of Paris. We meet and follow the love story of Rodolfo, a poet and Mimì his neighbour. Set in the 1990’s this colourful production is in juxtaposition with the tragic tale that will unfold on stage.
