Mark Alderson


Mark started his musical life in school choirs and productions where he developed a passion for singing. He then went on to study singing with Molly McGurk and Andrew Foote at the University of Western Australia, completing a Bachelor of Music in 1996.


In 2001 Mark travelled to the United Kingdom to take part in the Opera School Wales spring program were he performed the roles of Dancairo and Zuniga, in their production of Carmen.
Mark studied in Melbourne at the Australian National Academy of Music, in 2002 and 2003. Mark has had the privilege of performing in the regional centres of Kalgoorlie, Mandurah, and Albany and he sang as soloist and chorus member for the twentieth Opera under the Stars concert in Broome in 2012. Mark has also sung in Opera on the Platform at the Beverly Arts Centre in 2013 and 2014 and appeared in many West Australian Opera prodouctions.
