Share the journey of Hansel and Gretel as they leave the warmth of home and enter the alluring dark forest where freedom soon turns to fear as the pair become hopelessly lost. A tasty gingerbread house appears and witches’ trickery follows in this cautionary tale about stranger danger. Artist Sohan Ariel Hayes (Boorna Waanginy and HOME) will transform the park using projection, light and image to make this a truly immersive experience.

Beethoven’s only opera blazes with heroism. Celebrating the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth, Fidelio is presented as a hallmark work of the 2020 Perth Festival. Featuring the full force of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, the West Australian Opera Chorus and WASO Chorus with narrator Eryn Jean Norvill, this once in a generation retelling of one of the most inspiring stories ever set to music is completely unmissable.
