ABOUT
An intimate dining event with Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse celebrating Koolbardi wer Wardong. Presented by Wildflower and West Australian Opera.
Join us for a celebration of our heritage, history, native produce, stories and our storytellers.
Award-winning songwriters and storytellers, Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse weave magic in the world’s first Noongar language opera based on the traditional story of the koolbardi (magpie) and the wardong (crow).
Wildflower restaurant, COMO The Treasury and The State Buildings with West Australian Opera are excited to present a gourmet lunch with Gina and Guy as they share with you the creation of this wonderful new opera work.
Guests will enjoy an exquisite three course menu curated by Wildflower Head Chef, Matthew Sartori showcasing Western Australia’s unique native ingredients and matched with premium Voyager wines.
"Opera is a powerful way to celebrate language, song and narrative, as many traditional stories from other cultures have been told and passed on for generations. We will present a story that is 3000 generations old, is uniquely West Australian, and will be passed on for many generations to come.” - Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse
