WAO Playlist Series XI Curated by Jordan Anthony

Perth teenager Jordan Anthony captivated Australia after scoring a spot on Team Delta on rating juggernaut The Voice, but West Australian Opera lovers were first introduced to Jordan’s incredible talent during our 2017 season of Tosca, where Jordan made his professional debut as a shepherd boy. Now after appearing on one of Australia’s biggest television shows, Jordan returns to his WAO roots with a guest spot on the latest episode of Act-Belong-Commit Singing for Children classes and has curated this week’s playlist; which features music from some of the most significant periods in Jordan’s career to date. Read about and stream the full playlist below.

What About Us (The Voice Australia 2019 Performance) – Jordan Anthony

I sang this for my blind audition on The Voice Australia 2019.  I will never forget the moment that chair turned with all four judges.  Truly unforgettable.

Tosca: “Io de’ sospiri” (Shepherd Boy)

Singing with the West Australian Opera in their 2017 season of Tosca was one of the most memorable experiences ever.  Performing alongside Teddy Tahu Rhodes in my first professional performing experience was awesome.

Perfect Symphony – Ed Sheeran and Andrea Bocelli

This was one of my favourite Ed Sheeran songs.  It is really special to sing this as a duet with my dad, I love the Italian lyrics.

We Will Rise – Jordan Anthony

Representing Australia in Junior Eurovision 2019 with my original song makes this definitely in my Top 5.  Performing and sharing my music on an International stage was amazing.

This is Me (The Voice Australia 2019 Performance) – Jordan Anthony

I love the message of this song.  I sang this in the first final of The Voice Australia and in the week before finals week I had actually lost my voice.  After a lot of chicken soup and vocal rest it was amazing to sing this song to a packed crowd.

Flashlight – Jessie J

In 2016 I performed this at the Perth Arena for One Big Voice.  In addition to being so excited to perform at this venue, I remember the packed arena lighting up with phone lights.

Someone You Loved – Lewis Capaldi

I just love playing and singing this song.  It’s just one of my favourites.

Hallelujah I Love Her So – Ray Charles

I performed this song with the Perth Symphony Orchestra in 2018.  The sound with the orchestra was amazing.  There is nothing better than a live orchestra.

You Say – Lauren Daigle

This was the final song that I sang with Delta Goodrem in the final of The Voice.  Loved sharing the stage with Delta.

Lost – Jordan Anthony

This is the most meaningful song on my album ‘One Word’.  I wrote this for my Nanna who passed away.
